Polder Growth

An outside view of your paid growth, from someone with nothing to sell you.

The Second Opinion Report is an independent review of your paid acquisition and everything around it. You get a clear read on what's working, what isn't, and what to fix first. Two to three weeks, $3,500.

Admit one

When it's useful

  • Performance has slipped and you're hearing different explanations from different people
  • You're about to raise budgets, switch agencies or hire in-house, and want to know what you're walking into
  • Your team is good, and you'd like a fresh pair of eyes anyway

What I look at

Performance

What is paid actually producing, by channel and campaign, once you look past platform-reported numbers?

Message continuity

Does the ad, the page and the offer tell one story, or three?

Offer

Is there a real reason to buy now, from you, at this price?

Economics

For ecommerce: margins, payback and how cohorts behave after the first order. For B2B: lead quality and what turns into pipeline.

Roadmap

What to fix, in what order, and roughly what each fix is worth.

What you get

  • A written report and roadmap. Ranked by impact, in plain language, with the reasoning shown.
  • A walkthrough call. With you and whoever needs to hear it.

It's yours to use however you like. Give it to your in-house team or hand it to your agency.

How it works

  1. 1

Request. A short form: your business, your spend, what's stalled.

  2. 2

A quick call. Twenty to thirty minutes to check it's a fit and confirm what data you can share.

  3. 3

Access. Ad accounts, analytics, and the numbers behind them: margins, cohorts or CRM data. Under NDA.

  4. 4

Two to three weeks of digging. I may come back with questions. You don't need to manage me.

  5. 5

    Report and walkthrough.

A second opinion versus a free audit

Plenty of agencies will audit your account for free, and that's a fair deal. You share your data, they show you what they'd do differently, and you decide whether to hire them.

A second opinion is a different thing. Because you've paid for it, it doesn't need to end in a pitch. It can tell you your agency is doing fine. It can tell you the problem is your offer and no media buyer will fix it. It looks beyond the ad account, because that's often where the answer is.

What happens after

  • Run with it yourselves. The roadmap is written so your team can act on it.
  • Hand it to your agency. I'm happy to join one call to walk them through it.
  • Work together. Only if you want to. The report helps us hit the ground running.

I take on one or two reports a month.
